first team all-state pick at defensive tackle and offensive guard for the Hornets
a 3-year starter on both sides of the ball for head coach Judge Chavez
also spent 3 years as Highland's punter and kicker, including some PAT duties
HHS finished 9-3 and advanced to the state semifinals in Class 5A in 2004
one of the best shot putters in the state throughout his prep career
winner of the George J. Maloof Memorial Scholarship, presented to Albuquerque's most outstanding high school boy and girl student-athletes
the award is based on athletics, academics and extra-curricular activities
had a 4.233 cumulative GPA
also worked with mentally and physically disabled students.
