UPDATES

Week 6: Spann-Ford was targeted 2 times and caught 1 pass for no yards in a loss to MIchigan 52-10

Week 5: Spann-Ford had limited snaps he had 1 catch 3 yards in a 35-24 win over UL.

Week 4: The TE had his third straight game with two catches and single digits in yardage (seven) in Minnesota's close loss to Northwester, 37-34. He also had another drop, giving him five on the season in a fairly limited number of targets (20). He was also whistled for two penalties. Spann-Ford did have his run-blocking day of the season against the Tar Heels. — JH

Week 3: Spann-Ford again didn't play much of a role in Minnesota's passing game in the Gophers' 31-13 loss to North Carolina. Just two catches for six yards and two dropped passes. Spann-Ford didn't stand out in his run blocking either, and in the 10 times he was called on to pass protect, he allowed one QB pressure.

Week 2: In Minnesota's 25-6 win over Eastern Michigan, Spann-Ford had two catches on three targets for just five yards, so he wasn't much of a factor in the Gophers' passing game. The TE also had a drop on his other target. Spann-Ford was so-so blocking on the 41 running plays he was in on. — JH

Week 1: Spann-Ford showed up big in Minnesota's dramatic 13-10 win over Nebraska. Spann-Ford recorded five receptions for 45 total yards, three of which resulted in critical first downs for his Gophers. He also had one drop. — JH
