Demario Davis

Davis took advantage of representatives from more than 15 NFL teams showing up to see an uncharacteristically high amount of NFL-caliber players at Arkansas State's March 28 pro day. Highlighted by Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year, 13 players worked out, and Davis started to rise up draft boards. After running a 4.61 at the combine and lifting 225 pounds 31 times, Davis improved to a 4.52 40 at his pro day and added a 38 1/2-inch vertical. He racked up 229 tackles over his career, and was first-team all-conference as a senior. The clear concern is whether Davis' raw athleticism can make the leap to the NFL. He's strong against the run and hits hard - when he doesn't overrun plays. And coverage responsibilities will likely be an issue, making Davis a developmental prospect.

Has lateral quickness and good speed. Strong run defender who uses that speed to chase plays down. Good pop behind his tackles and drives through ballcarriers.
