Georgia TE Brock Bowers discusses what AD Mitchell brings to Texas

July 18, 2023 12:35 pm
Texas wide receiver AD Mitchell is seeing plenty of acclaim at SEC media days. The Georgia player who made legendary plays for the team, including the game-sealing touchdown grab to decide the 2021 national title game, has the respect of his former team.
Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is the latest to praise Mitchell. He had the following to say when discussing what Mitchell brings to a team on the football field.
“AD (Mitchell), he was one of the twitchiest dudes I’ve ever seen. He could take one step then be heading the opposite direction at full speed. He’s just an impressive player. I’m just hoping for the best for him at Texas.”
Twitchy isn’t the first word that comes to mind when we think about Mitchell. If that descriptor is accurate, the Texas pass catcher should be the biggest impact newcomer in the Big 12 conference this season.
We are open to the possibility that Mitchell could be the best receiver in the Big 12 this season. His top competition is perhaps the best route runner and most electric receiver in college football in teammate Xavier Worthy.
Mitchell is set to take the field in his first game action with the Longhorns on Sept. 2 against Rice.
