Cactus Bowl
What we know today as the Cactus Bowl in Kingsville, Texas, actually began in 1994 as the Snow Bowl in Fargo, North Dakota. Two opsite ends of the country, but one strongly defined mission: to bring together the finest football athletes from the 150 plus universities which comprise NCAA Division II. The first Seven Years of the Snow Bowl produced over 100 players signed by the NFL and in the inaugural Cactus Bowl game alone, 25 players signed NFL contracts, inspiring the game slogan "the best players you've never seen." On January 12, 2001, the Snow Bowl found a new home in Kingsville, Texas, as was consequently renamed the Cactus Bowl due to lack of frozen precipitation and abundance of prickly vegetation in South Texas. Played in an East/West format, the teams are comprised entirely of the 'best of the best' NCAA Division II college seniors. The Cactus Bowl Committee, comprised completely of volunteers, is responsible for all aspects of organization for the contest and net profits from the Cactus Bowl are donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children.

East-West Shrine
The East-West Shrine Game is the oldest and one of the most respected of the post-season collegiate bowl games. Since 1925, the game has been known for the quality of the players and coaches, as well as for the excitement of great college football action. But that's not what makes it "Football's Finest Hour." What makes the East-West Game so special is its true purpose — helping to support Shriners Hospitals for Children. Every year since 1925, the East-West Game has been played to raise funds for Shriners Hospitals for Children and to raise awareness about the expert orthopaedic, burn, spinal cord injury rehabilitation, and cleft lip and palate care, available at no charge to patients and families, through the 22 Shriners Hospitals for Children. The players themselves regard the game in a special light, as they learn the true purpose of the game during a pre-game visit to the Shriners Hospital in Tampa, Florida.

Texas vs The Nation
The Texas vs. The Nation Game is a post-season college football all-star game established in 2006. The format of the game will pit a team of top-rated college seniors who played college or high school football in Texas against a squad of top-rated seniors from the rest of the nation. First year's inaugural game (2007) set a record for NFL signees in a first year all-star game with 79 players from the 2007 roster signing NFL contracts. 2nd year (2008) set a new record number of NFL signees in an all-star game with 102 players signing NFL contracts. 93% of the 2009 roster went on to sign NFL contracts, 111 out of 119.
