12/02/17 - Devante Kincade threw two touchdown passes and ran for two more scores, and Grambling held off Alcorn State 40-32 on Saturday night en route to its second straight Southwestern Athletic Conference Championship. It was the third consecutive meeting between the teams in the title game. Alcorn State (7-5) won it in 2015, and Grambling (11-1) rallied for a 27-20 victory in the 2016 championship. Grambling has won 11 straight games since losing its opener, 43-14 against Tulane, and is 8-2 in the SWAC title games. Kincade had touchdown runs of 14 and 27 yards. He threw a 15-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Jones, and his 4-yarder to Quintin Guice just before halftime gave the Tigers a 38-10 lead. Martez Carter ran for a 5-yard touchdown and Marc Orozco kicked a 48-yard field goal in the first half for Grambling. The Tigers finished with 439 yards of offense but had just 76 yards in the second half. Lenorris Footman was 20-of-34 passing for 307 yards with a touchdown pass and run in the fourth quarter for Alcorn State, which was making its fourth straight SWAC title game appearance. De'Lance Turner ran for 137 yards and two touchdowns, and Marquis Warford caught seven passes for 131 yards. The Braves finished with 502 yards. - AP College Football
11/11/17 - Devante Kincade completed 17 of 27 passes for 205 yards and two touchdowns and Grambling dispatched Alabama State 24-7 on Saturday for its ninth straight victory. Grambling's offense struggled in the first half managing just four first downs but the Tigers (9-1, 6-0 Southwestern Athletic Conference) used De'Andre Hogues' 23-yard interception return to set up a 1-yard TD run by Martez Carter for a 7-0 lead with 3:50 left in the first quarter. Grambling stretched the lead to 14-0 when Kincade connected with Calief Samon for a 7-yard score with 35 seconds left in the half. The Tigers added Marc Orozco's 41-yard field goal in the third quarter and Kincade engineered a 13-play, 92-yard drive in the fourth quarter that ended with a 42-yard scoring strike on third-and-20 to Devohn Lindsey for a 24-0 lead. The Hornets (3-6, 3-3) avoided a shutout when Darryl Pearson Jr. hit Ezra Gray for a 10-yard score with 5:09 left in the game. Alabama State came into the game with three straight road wins. Carter finished with 85 yards on 14 carries for Grambling. - AP College Football

Kincade threw for two scores in the first half including a 47-yard strike to Jones that gave the Tigers a 20-3 lead with 14:48 left in the first half. Devohn Lindsey caught a 19-yard score from Kincade late in the third and Hickbottom ran 49 yards for another touchdown late in the game to seal the win. Grambling jumped to No. 13 in the latest FCS Coach's Poll after its 41-14 victory over Alcorn State last weekend. Elijah Odom threw for 119 yards and a score for Texas Southern. - AP College Football
09/30/17 - Devante Kincade came off the Grambling bench to throw three touchdown passes as the Tigers beat Division II Clark Atlanta in the 20th annual Chicago Football Classic at Soldier Field on Saturday, a showcase for historically black colleges and universities as renowned for its Battle of the Bands as for its football. After starter Geremy Hickbottom was injured in the first quarter, Kincade came on to complete 19 of 31 attempts for 230 yards and three scores. Clark Atlanta, which won the classic a year ago, beating Central State 20-13 in a showdown between NCAA Division II schools, scored first after driving 88 yards in 13 plays. Carlos Saldana kicked a 29-yard field goal to put the Panthers up, 3-0.
