11/05/09- Rishaw Johnson, rSo, Mississippi, 6-4, 295
Backup right guard Rishaw Johnson has been suspended for the season, but will remain with the team and focus on his schoolwork, according to coach Houston Nutt. Johnson started four games earlier this season, but has been in and out of the coaching staff’s doghouse since August. Senior Brandon Green has taken the starting job. Nutt has not said what has led to Johnson's suspensions, except to say he has broken team rules. The loss makes UM even more thin on the offensive line. Redshirt freshman A.J. Hawkins is the likely backup at both left and right guard, but he’s battling a dislocated toe and might not play on Saturday. If Hawkins can't play, Nutt was asked who would be the second-team guards. "You don't know them," Nutt said with a grin. In actuality, they are Alex Washington and Zach Brent, but there's no doubt that's deeper on the roster than Nutt would like to go. Obviously, the future doesn't look too bright for Johnson, who's been in trouble all season. The Rebels would love to keep him around, considering he's very strong and almost a certain bet to start next season. But he apparently continues to have discipline problems. - David Brandt, The Clarion-Ledger

11/05/09- Sergio Render, Sr, Virginia Tech, 6-3, 313

The line also paved the way for the Razorbacks to carry the ball 30 times for 292 yards and three touchdowns. The UA offensive line did not allow a sack against Eastern Michigan marking the second game this season the line has not allowed a sack. - SEC football

11/02/09- Rodney Hudson, Jr, Florida State, 6-2, 290

Hudson, a preseason All-American, graded out at 91 percent, had two knock-down blocks, and was part of an offensive unit that did not give up a sack or a quarterback hurry. - ACC football

10/29/09- Sergio Render, Sr, Virginia Tech, 6-3, 313
OG Sergio Render (pectoral muscle) was able to rest his injury during the bye week and is expected to play against North Carolina. Render might be spelled occasionally by sophomore Greg Nosal, who has played well in the first extended action of his career.

10/19/09- Kurtis Gregory, rSr, Missouri, 6-4, 308
GAME BALL GOES TO: The offensive line - WR Danario Alexander was superb vs. Oklahoma State, but after enduring weeks of criticism for its inability to open holes for the running game and protect QB Blaine Gabbert in the pocket, the Missouri offensive line controlled the line of scrimmage early. Missouri gave up on the run in the second half, but before the break, TB Derrick Washington carried seven times for 35 yards, and his backup, De'Vion Moore, picked up 27 yards on five carries, marking progress for a running game that's struggled in four of Missouri's five games.
