He finished second in the league in passing yards per game at 330.0 with 34 touchdowns to 15 interceptions. Hansen has tossed three or more TDs in six of 11 contests this year. His 34 touchdowns are a new Sun Belt Conference record while his 3,630 yards passing rank just outside of the top five in the Sun Belt in a season. In addition to his passing stats, Hansen has rushed for 380 yards this season, 343 of which came during league play. He has also scored six times on the ground with a long rush of 38 yards. NOV 27 SUN BELT OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Justice Hansen, Arkansas State (Jr., QB)...Junior quarterback Justice Hansen broke the Arkansas State record for passing yards (520), while also setting the school record for total offense (550) and accounting for a career-high six touchdowns (4 passing, 2 rushing) in the Red Wolves' 67-50 road victory over ULM. Hansen's passing yards and total offense output both ranked as the fifth highest in the nation this season, helping Arkansas State pile up 781 yards total offense that broke the school and Sun Belt records as well. He completed 26-of-38 passing attempts with three of his four touchdowns going to different players. Hansen's two rushing touchdowns covered eight and 38 yards and came on back-to-back possessions to start the third quarter. Justice Hansen threw for a school-record 520 yards and four touchdowns, rushed for two more scores, and Arkansas State kept its hopes alive for another Sun Belt Conference title with a 67-50 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night. The Red Wolves (7-3, 6-1), who shared the conference title last year and won it outright in 2015, will be hosts to Troy next week in a regular-season finale. Troy and Appalachian State are also 6-1 in the conference.

Arkansas State had a conference-record 781 yards of offense to 590 for the Warhawks (4-7, 4-4) as the teams combined for 1,371 in a game in which six touchdown drives lasted 91 seconds or less. Hansen was 26-of-38 passing with his four TD passes tying him for the Sun Belt single-season record of 32. Justin McInnis had a career-high 211 yards receiving on nine catches, Chris Murray 99 yards and two TDs on five catches and Warren Wand rushed for 173 yards on 21 carries with a score. Kyle Martin had two of Arkansas State's three interceptions. ULM's Caleb Evans was 21 of 37 for 454 yards passing and four touchdowns but was intercepted three times. OCT 30 SUN BELT SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Blaise Taylor, Arkansas State (Sr., DB)...Senior cornerback Blaise Taylor helped led Arkansas State to a 37-21 road victory over New Mexico State, recording a school and Sun Belt Conference-record nine punt returns for a career-high 114 yards that were also the third most ever by an A-State player and fifth most in Sun Belt history. Taylor averaged 12.9 yards per attempt on his nine returns that were also the most by an FBS player this year. He recorded over 100 punt return yards in a game for the third time of his career and, in the process, became just the second player in Sun Belt history to go over 1,000 career yards. Taylor's 114 yards were the most by a Sun Belt player and seventh most in the nation this season, while also giving him four of the top-10 single-game totals in Arkansas State history. He had a long return of 54 yards, which was the second longest in the Sun Belt this year behind only his 63-yard return against Nebraska. Taylor also had a 19-yard return to the NMSU 40-yard line that set up A-State's first touchdown. OCT 23 SUN BELT CO-DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Ja'Von Rolland-Jones, Arkansas State (Sr. DL)...Senior defensive end Ja'Von Rolland-Jones recorded a season-high 2.5 sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss, five tackles and a forced fumble that was scooped up by teammate Caleb Caston and returned for a touchdown during Arkansas State's 47-3 victory over Louisiana. Rolland-Jones sacked Louisiana quarterback Andre Nunez on the game's third play and stripped the ball in the process, resulting in a 24-yard touchdown return that put the Red Wolves ahead 7-0 within less than a minute of the game's opening kickoff. His 2.5 sacks pushed his career total to 36, moving him into a tie for the fourth most in NCAA history. - Sun Belt Football
