 Draft Scout Chris Fraser News
02/11/17 - 2016 FIRST-TEAM ALL-IVY LEAGUE (COACHES): Chris Fraser, Cornell (Sr., P Ė Potomac, Md.)...Fraser is the first Cornell play to become a four-time first-team All-Ivy pick on the gridiron and just the third player to achieve that milestone (Harvard linebacker Dante Balestracci - '00, '01, '02, '03; Harvard running back Clifton Dawson Ė '03, '04, '05, '06). The coaches had good reason to have him join the list. The career conference leader in punting average (42.8) by more than a yard per punt, he set Big Red records for punts downed inside the 20 (69), punts of at least 50 yards (48), punts that were fair caught (52) and career punting yards (9,234).

In 2016, Cornell led the Ivy League in net punting (37.3 yards) and Fraser finished second in punts downed inside the 20 (23) while leading the circuit in 50-yard punts (13). Overall, the senior was second in the Ivy League and 22nd nationally in punting average (41.9). Fraser did not have a kick blocked in four varsity seasons (216 punts), averaged at least 40 yards per punt in 36 of 40 career games and was named Ivy League Special Teams Player of the Week twice. The 2013 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and 2015 All-American will graduate as one of the most decorated players in conference history. - Cornell Football

10/12/16 - OCT 3 IVY LEAGUE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Chris Fraserís ability to flip the field was instrumental in Cornellís road win at No. 25 Colgate. He punted three times and pinned the Raiders inside their own 7 yard line all three times at the 2, 7 and 4 yard lines. Fraser, a preseason first-team All-American, averaged 36.0 yards and didnít allow a return yard while punting on short fields all day long. Fraserís Statistics for the Week: 3 punts, 108 yards. - Ivy League Football
02/09/16 - 2015 ALL-IVY LEAGUE FIRST TEAM (COACHES): Chris Fraser, Cornell (Jr., P - Potomac, Md.)...Fraser is just the sixth Cornellian to earn first-team All-Ivy honors three times, joining offensive lineman Kevin Boothe (2003-05), linebacker Bob Lally (1971-73), running back Chad Levitt (1994-96), running back Ed Marinaro (1969-71) and quarterback Gary Wood (1961-63). One of 11 unanimous first-team selections, he ranked fourth in the FCS and first in the Ivy League in punting average at 45.1 yards per kick. It was the third straight year Fraser led the Ivy League in punting average - each year by at least two full yards per punt. He posted a single-game school record 52.4 yards on seven punts with three punts of longer than 60 yards with two inside the 20, against Harvard. Despite punting into the wind on seven of his eight kicks, averaged 41.2 yards with one kick inside the 5 in the Big Red's 3-0 victory over Columbia. Fraser had 16 punts of longer than 50 yards and pinned nine kicks inside the 20. - Cornell Football
10/15/14 - OCT 6 IVY LEAGUE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Cornell sophomore punter Chris Fraser (Potomac, Md.), the Ivy League's top punter, had another outstanding game in the Big Red's loss to Yale. Fraser punted a career-high eight times and averaged 42.5 yards per kick. He pinned two inside the 20 and two went more than 50 yards, including a 61-yarder. He leads the Ivy League in punting average by more than a yard per attempt and ranks 18th nationally in punting average at 41.8 yards per boot. - Ivy League football
