2010: Gates put up huge numbers in 2010, reeling in 66 catches for 1,182 yards and 13 touchdowns in helping the Wildcats to an 11-0 regular season record. He was just the seventh player in school history to break the 1,000-yard receiving mark and the fifth player to have more than 60 catches. Gates leaves Abilene Christian ranked second in career receiving yards (2,885), third in receptions (158), tied for first in touchdown catches (27) and fourth in scoring (194 points)...2009: Played in 13 in 2009 and finished with 49 catches for 702 yards (14.3 YPC) with 5 TD's receiving...2008: Started and played in 10 games for the Wildcats, fighting off a leg injury early in the season that kept him out of two games. Gates, a first team all-LSC South Division selection in 2008, finished the season with 31 catches for 716 yards and eight touchdowns...2007: Played in 11 games for the Wildcats, finishing with 12 catches for 285 yards and one touchdown. He also carried the ball 14 times for 189 yards and four more scores.

12/31/12 - WR Clyde Gates (head) did not return after he hit his head on the Ralph Wilson Stadium turf while trying to make a catch late in the second quarter of the Jets' 28-9 loss to the Bills. Gates missed two games earlier this month with a concussion he suffered against the Patriots on Thanksgiving night.
12/14/12 - WR Clyde Gates (concussion) didn't practice Thursday. Gates has missed the Jets' last two games with the concussion, which he suffered Thanksgiving night against the Patriots.
12/10/12 - WR Clyde Gates (concussion) missed his second straight game Sunday but Rex Ryan said Monday he hopes Gates can play against the Titans next Monday. Gates was hurt when he took a hard hit from the Patriots' Kyle Arrington on Thanksgiving night.
12/05/12 - WR Clyde Gates (concussion) didn't practice Wednesday. Gates was concussed when he took a hard hit from the Patriots' Kyle Arrington in the Jets' 49-19 loss on Thanksgiving night. Gates didn't play against the Cardinals in the Jets' 7-6 win on Sunday.
11/30/12 - WR Clyde Gates (concussion) did not practice Thursday for the second straight day and appears unlikely to play against the Cardinals on Sunday. Gates was concussed at the end of the first half against the Patriots on Thanksgiving night when he took a hard hit from Kyle Arrington.
