11/27/12 - TE Michael Higgins was signed from the practice squad in case David Thomas can't play against the Falcons because of a knee injury.
07/31/12 - TE Michael Higgins, an undrafted free agent in 2011, has impressed with some nice catches early in camp while getting first- and second-team reps in the absence of an injured David Thomas. The 6-5, 242-pound Higgins was active for two games last season after being promoted from the practice squad when Thomas suffered the second of two concussions and was put on injured reserve.
