06/24/14 - WR Dominique Croom was waived by the Falcons Tuesday with the designation non-football illness. Croom, 6-0, 190 pounds, was originally signed by the Cleveland Browns as a college free agent following the 2013 NFL Draft. He was signed to the Falcons practice squad on November 27, 2013.
04/30/13 - Browns sign 18 undrafted free agents...Dominique Croom - Finished career at the University of Central Arkansas (2009-12) fifth in school history in receptions (153) and sixth in receiving yards (1,941), while appearing in 47 games… As a senior, caught 53 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns… Attended Cherokee (Indiana) High School. - ClevelandBrowns.com
04/08/13 - 2013 Central Arkansas Pro Day: Dominique Croom, WR (6-1 7/8, 189) - Croom ran the 40 in 4.55 and 4.52 seconds. He had a 38 1/2-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-3 broad jump. He did the short shuttle in 4.28 seconds and the three-cone drill in 6.87 seconds. He also performed nine lifts on the bench press. Croom has big, size-10 hands. - Gil Brandt, NFL.com
09/22/12 - Wynri Smothers' 26-yard touchdown pass to Dominique Croom with 57 seconds left gave Central Arkansas a 24-20 victory Saturday over powerhouse Sam Houston State in both teams' Southland Conference opener. Smothers, who threw for 318 yards, had pulled the Bears (3-1) within 20-17 on a 17-yard run with 3:18 to play. After the Central Arkansas defense forced a punt, Smothers hit Croom on a 41-yard sideline route before finding him in the corner of the end zone for the game-winner. Smothers had opened the Bears' scoring with a 30-yard touchdown to Terence Bobo in the second quarter. Tim Flanders ran for 125 yards and two scores for the Bearkats (1-2), who had a chance to win as time expired. Brian Bell threw an on-target jump ball that Karl Brady intercepted in the end zone. The Bears improved to 7-0 at home since installing purple-and-gray artificial turf at Estes Stadium. - AP Sports
09/09/12 - Wynrick Smothers threw five touchdown passes to five different receivers Saturday night and led Central Arkansas to a 42-20 non-conference victory over Murray State. Smothers, who completed 31 of 41 passes for 358 yards, was sensational. In the first half alone, he was 20-for-26 for 227 yards and four touchdowns of 18 yards, 10, 3 and his longest completion of the night: a 74-yarder to Dominique Croom, who finished with 10 receptions for 184 yards. In the fourth quarter, Smothers completed his night with his fifth scoring pass, a 12-yard reception by Thomas Hart. The Bears, who lost their opener to Ole Miss, evened their record at 1-1. For Murray State, now 0-2, quarterback Casey Brockman was sensational as well. He passed for 445 yards, completing 41 of 63 attempts. But Brockman only threw one scoring pass as the Racers dropped to 0-2. - AP Sports
