Draft Scout Nick Mangold News
11/27/13 - C Nick Mangold (right wrist) didn't participate in the media availability portion of practice on Wednesday. With Mangold out, center was manned by Caleb Schlauderaff. Mangold wasn't listed on the injury report last week even though he was seen with a giant cast on his right hand. Mangold has missed just two games; both in 2011 since he was drafted by the Jets in 2006.
11/25/13 - C Nick Mangold was "credited" with the Jets' lost fumble in their 19-3 loss to the Ravens. The third quarter fumble, which happened when Geno Smith mistimed the snap count and Mangold's snap hit the hip of in-motion receiver Greg Salas, was initially assigned to Smith. It is the fourth fumble of Mangold's eight-year career.
10/25/13 - C Nick Mangold (ribs) was limited Friday and listed as questionable.
09/09/13 - C Nick Mangold (elbow) was limited in practice Monday. Mangold gave the Jets a scare Sunday when he fell to the ground gripping his arm during the first series of the second half, but he returned to the game shortly thereafter. Mangold's durability is well-known: He has missed just two games since the Jets drafted him in 2006 and played through an ankle injury over the final 11 games of last season.
10/24/12 - C Nick Mangold (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday but should play against the Dolphins on Sunday. Mangold suffered an ankle injury in the second half of the game against the Texans on Oct. 8 but missed just two plays. He has played in each of the Jets' last two games.
