But Mangold aggravated the injury and head coach Todd Bowles admitted Tuesday that Mangold could miss the rest of the season.

The seven-time Pro Bowl selection was nursing an ailing ankle for nearly two months before aggravating the injury late in Monday's 41-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. 12/06/16 - C Nick Mangold (ankle/foot) was injured during Monday night's 41-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Mangold returned to the starting lineup Monday after missing the previous four games due to an ankle injury suffered against the Baltimore Ravens on Oct. 23. The injury on Monday was described as both a re-aggravation and a foot injury. Head coach Todd Bowles acknowledged Tuesday the Jets may consider shutting Mangold down for the season.
11/28/16 - C Nick Mangold (ankle) missed his fourth straight game Sunday when the Jets fell to the Patriots 22-17. Mangold was injured in the first quarter of the Oct. 23 game against the Baltimore Ravens. Coach Todd Bowles said Mangold was never close to suiting up despite getting in two limited practices last week. The four missed games this season match the number of games that Mangold missed in his first 10 NFL seasons combined.
