 Draft Scout Terrill Barnes News
09/16/13 - The eighth-ranked Crimson Hawks improved to 2-0 on the season with a decisive 49-0 victory over Cheyney at home on Saturday. IUP allowed 189 yards of total offense by the Wolves, including 115 rushing yards on 51 carries from the triple-option offense. IUP scored four touchdowns in the first quarter alone, including three by Sr. RB De'Antwan Williams. Williams finished with 31 yards on seven carries and added a 61-yard reception.

Sr. QB Mike Box got it down through the air, finishing 10-of-15 for 210 yards and three touchdowns. One of those scores was to Sr. WR Terrill Barnes, who had five grabs for 106 yards. The IUP defense finished with nine total tackles behind the line of scrimmage, including two sacks. In his first career start, R-Fr. LB Allen Holman recorded 10 tackles, a team-high. IUP is now 6-0 all-time against Cheyney, allowing just 26 points in those six meetings. IUP hits the road next Saturday to face new PSAC member Seton Hill at 6 p.m. - PSAC football

08/12/13 - Defending PSAC football champion Indiana (Pa.) and 2012 runner-up Shippensburg have been predicted to win their respective division in 2013 according to a poll conducted among league coaches. IUP snagged seven first-place votes, marking the second-consecutive season the Crimson Hawks have appeared at the top of the preseason poll and the seventh straight year they've been ranked in the top three. In 2012 IUP was tied with California for the top slot in the Western Division. With the aid of six first-place votes, Shippensburg earned a preseason No. 1 spot for the first time since 2004. Prior to 2008, the Raiders competed in the Western Division. Until now in the Eastern Division poll, Shippensburg has never been ranked any higher than fourth.

The Crimson Hawks enter 2013 coming-off their first PSAC Championship crown since 1987 and an NCAA playoff berth for the first time since 2007. IUP advanced to the regional final at Winston-Salem State after defeating Shepherd (27-17) and New Haven (17-14). The Crimson Hawks lost a heartbreaking 21-17 decision in the Super Region One title game, unable to net the game-winning score despite reaching the WSSU five-yard line in the final minutes of the contest. The NCAA postseason appearance marked IUP's 15th in school history, the most by any PSAC school. - PSAC football
