01/07/14 - Ball State receiver Willie Snead is giving up his final year of eligibility to enter the NFL draft. The junior made the announcement Tuesday. Last season, Snead had 106 receptions for 1,516 and 15 touchdowns — all single-season school records. He also was a first-team all-Mid-American Conference selection and was a semifinalist for the Biletnikoff Award. Coach Pete Lembo said the school is working with Snead on a plan to earn his degree. Snead finished his career ranked on the on the school's career list in receptions (223), yards receiving (2,991) and TD receptions (26) while setting the school record for 100-yard games (13). - AP Sports
12/14/13 - 2013 ALL-MAC FIRST TEAM: Wide Receiver - Willie Snead, Ball State...Snead managed 97 catches for 1,429 yards with 14 receiving touchdowns on the season, while starting all 12 games. He ranks fourth in the nation in receiving yards, receiving yards per game (119.1) and receiving touchdowns while ranking eighth in the latest NCAA statistics in receptions per game with an 8.1 average. Snead broke the Ball State record for single-season receiving yards and his 2013 total ranks sixth on the all-time MAC charts. His 97 catches rank third in a single season in Ball State history, while his 14 TD catches set a new Ball State standard.
