 Draft Scout David Fluellen News
08/20/14 - K Cody Parkey was traded by the Colts to the Eagles for RB David Fluellen Wednesday (Aug. 20). Parkey was waived by the Colts Tuesday, but the move was rescinded prior to the 4 p.m. deadline. The Colts also waived running back Phillip Tanner. Fluellen, 5-11, 224 pounds, was a two-time First Team All-MAC honoree from the University of Toledo. He finished fourth in team history with 3,336 rushing yards. As a senior in 2013, Fluellen led the team in rushing with 1,121 yards and 10 touchdowns. Parkey was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent on May 11, 2014. He graduated from Auburn ranking in the top five in all kicking categories. Parkey also totaled an SEC-long streak of 90 consecutive PATs made throughout his career, which ranked seventh in the nation.
05/13/14 - Eagles Sign 15 Rookie Free Agents: David Fluellen, RB Toledo...A two-time first-team All-MAC honoree from the University of Toledo, Fluellen finished fourth in program history with 3,336 rushing yards. Despite missing nearly four games due to injuries as a senior in 2013, he went on to lead the team with 1,121 rushing yards, while totaling 10 touchdowns. As a junior in 2012, he ranked eighth in the nation with 124.8 yards per game, while posting the fifth-best rushing total in school history with 1,498 yards. A first-team Class 2A all-state honoree, Fluellen amassed 1,638 yards and 19 touchdowns as a senior at Lockport HS (NY). - PhiladelphiaEagles.com
01/20/14 - 2014 SENIOR BOWL, RUNNING BACK: Arrow pointing down: David Fluellen, Toledo...Fluellen eclipsed the 1,000 yard rushing mark in 2013, but he also battled several injuries that kept him on the sidelines part of the season. An above average pass-catcher, the MAC runner is tough and reliable with the ball in his hands, but he also lacks the athletic traits to separate him from others. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
12/15/13 - 2013 ALL-MAC FIRST TEAM: Running Back - David Fluellen, Toledo...Fluellen was leading the MAC in rushing for much of the season before being sidelined with injuries. He has 1,121 yards rushing and leads all running backs with 6.7 yards per carry. - Toledo football
10/19/13 - A missed extra point in the second overtime was the painful difference as Navy dropped a 45-44 decision to Toledo on Saturday. The Midshipmen (3-3) battled back from 10 points down in the fourth quarter to force the overtime, and after the two teams matched scores in the first overtime, Nick Sloan of Navy pushed his extra point kick wide following a six-yard score by Geoffrey Whiteside that put Navy on top, 44-38.

Toledo (4-3) got a 20-yard touchdown pass from Terrance Owens to Bernard Reedy on its possession of the second overtime, and Jeremiah Detmer drilled the extra point to give the Rockets (4-3) the dramatic victory. Sloan hit a career long 40-yard field goal with three seconds left in regulation to tie the game and force overtime. That followed a short scoring run by Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds that capped a 96-yard drive and closed the gap to three points with about five minutes left.

Navy used its prolific running game to pile up 419 yards on the ground and 514 total yards. However, Toledo built its lead on touchdown runs of 52 yards by David Fluellen and 44 yards by Kareem Hunt, plus a long fumble recovery return for a touchdown, Toledo was able to build the advantage. - The Sports Xchange
