Draft Scout Dwayne Bowe News
03/16/16 - WR Dwayne Bowe had his contract terminated by the Browns on Wednesday.
Bowe signed a two-year, $12.5 million deal last offseason that included $9 million in guaranteed money and he was pegged as an important upgrade to the receiving corps. However, he suffered a hamstring injury during the preseason and was rarely able to practice.
Bowe was so limited during the exhibition season that it was a mild surprise that he made the roster. But he had already received a $3.5 million signing bonus and a guaranteed $2.65 million salary for 2015.
He was a regular game-day inactive, and finished the season with five catches for 53 yards and no touchdowns in seven games. Of his $6.15 million scheduled salary for 2016, $2.85 million was guaranteed. Bowe will still count $4.6 million in dead-cap space for the Browns this year.
12/28/15 - WR Dwayne Bowe was active against his former team, the Kansas City Chiefs. He was targeted on once pass but did not make the catch.
12/10/15 - WR Dwayne Bowe practiced full Thursday. He missed practice Wednesday for non-injury reasons.
12/09/15 - WR Dwayne Bowe missed practice Wednesday for non-injury reasons.
11/07/15 - WR Dwayne Bowe caught three passes after catching none in the first eight games. He was inactive in five of those games.
