 Draft Scout Kamerion Wimbley News
04/07/14 - LB Kamerion Wimbley agreed to a restructured contract Monday, according to multiple reports. ESPN.com reported that the deal is for three years and $9 million. He was scheduled to earn $19.5 million over the next three seasons, including $6 million in base salary. The Tennessean reported that Wimbley will have an opportunity to earn more money through incentives. Wimbley signed a five-year, $35 million deal with the Titans in 2012. He has earned $15.5 million in his first two seasons with the team. The Titans asked Wimbley, who has 51.5 career sacks, to take a pay cut and he agreed rather than possibly get released. The Titans plan to move to a 3-4 defense under new defensive coordinator Ray Horton. Wimbley would more than likely move to outside linebacker.
09/24/13 - DE Kamerion Wimbley played only six defensive snaps Sunday as the Titans kept Derrick Morgan and Ropati Pitoitua in for much of the game at end.
12/27/12 - DE Kamerion Wimbley is tied with Akeem Ayers for the team lead in sacks with five.
12/07/12 - DE Kamerion Wimbley was able to return to practice on Thursday and did most of the necessary work in order to be able to play Sunday. Wimbley was given an extra half-sack when the league reviewed statistics and film a few weeks back, giving him five on the season.
12/06/12 - DE Kamerion Wimbley suffered a toe injury in the loss to Houston, but has improved to the point where he might be able to practice Thursday.
