 Draft Scout Najja Johnson News
12/13/13 - 2013 ALL-MAC FIRST TEAM: Defensive Back - Najja Johnson, Buffalo...After a standout career, Johnson finally earned well-deserved All-MAC honors. The senior cornerback leads the Bulls with three interceptions and nine pass break ups. He returned one of his interceptions for a touchdown against Connecticut. He ranks second in school history in career passes defended with 38 one shy of the school record. - Buffalo football
07/17/13 - 2013 JIM THORPE AWARD WATCH LIST: S Najja Johnson, Buffalo...Johnson led the Mid-American Conference with five interceptions in 2012, which also ranked 13th nationally. In his second year as the team's starter, the Marietta, GA native made 43 tackles (27 solo) and broke up six other passes to lead the team with 11 passes defended. He ended the season on a high note, making the SportsCenter Top 10 with a jaw-dropping interception at Bowling Green, adding a second interception later in the game and a season-high seven tackles against the Falcons. - Buffalo football
08/08/12 - BUFFALO BREAKOUT STAR: CB Najja Johnson had a big year in 2011, his first year as a starter, breaking up 15 passes to lead the MAC. He should be poised to have a bigger season in 2012, particularly with Khalil Mack and Lee Skinner occupying so much attention up front. - The Sports Xchange
