 Draft Scout Brent Leonard News
07/30/13 - WR Brent Leonard was waived by New Orleans.
04/17/13 - 2013 NFL DRAFT: 124 FBS PROGRAMS, 124 POSSIBLE UNDRAFTED ROOKIE FREE AGENTS: LOUISIANA-MONROE: WR Brent Leonard (6-1, 196, 4.58)...He doesn't look like much and is a one-speed athlete, but Leonard is smart, understands how to sell routes and was the safety valve of the offense as a possession receiver. - Dane Brugler,
12/28/12 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: The Warhawks were an early season darling after beating then No. 8 Arkansas 34-31 in the season opener, then dropping close games to Auburn (31-28 in OT) and Baylor (47-42) the following two weeks. Quarterback Kolton Browning (65 percent completions, 2,830 yards, 27 touchdowns, seven interceptions) is a three-year starter for ULM and has been terrific in distributing the ball to wideouts Brent Leonard (97 catches for 1,042 yards), Je'Ron Hamm (58-862) and Tavarese Maye (52-554). - The Sports Xchange
12/14/12 - 2012 ALL-SUN BELT CONFERENCE FIRST TEAM (COACHES & MEDIA): Brent Leonard (Louisiana-Monroe, r-Sr., WR), has been selected First Team All-Sun Belt Conference (Coaches & Media selection) for the 2012 college football season. Leonard earned first-team honors after posting 97 receptions and 1,042 receiving yards in 2012. His 97 receptions are a ULM school record and he ranks third in the Sun Belt single-season record books. Meanwhile, his 1,042 receiving yards are a career-high and he is just the sixth ULM receiver to record 1,000 or more receiving yards in one season.

Leonard finished the regular season with 10 touchdowns and he is just the fifth ULM player to accomplish that feat. Among national leaders, Leonard ranks sixth in receptions per game and 30th in receiving yards per game. The senior is just two receptions shy of setting a new school record in career receptions. Leonard has 202 career receptions and trails only Mack Vincent, who totaled 203 receptions from 2000-03. - Louisiana-Monroe football

11/08/12 - THIS WEEK'S GAME: ULM at Arkansas State, Nov. 8 -- Arkansas State is one of three teams in the Sun Belt with just one league loss, which means the Warhawks and Red Wolves will be playing for at least a share of first place in the conference race. Arkansas State is 6-3 overall and has won its last four games since dropping a 26-13 decision to Western Kentucky in back on Sept. 29 for its only league loss. KEYS TO THE GAME: Limit turnovers. ULM will be going with a new starter at quarterback and don't want to give Arkansas State a short field to work with. The defense has to slow a running attack that is producing over 212 yards a game, best in the Sun Belt. PLAYERS TO WATCH: WR Brent Leonard -- Leonard has the opportunity to give Wells some confidence. He is the Warhawks most reliable receiver with 32 receptions for 417 yards. - The Sports Xchange
