Draft Scout Rishard Matthews News
11/30/15 - WR Rishard Matthews (ribs), injured during Sunday game against the New York Jets, doesn't seem likely to play this week against Baltimore, according to interim coach Dan Campbell. Matthews, one of the toughest players on the team, took a hard hit from SS Calvin Pryor.
11/29/15 - WR Rishard Matthews (chest, ribs) was injured during the first series Sunday of the Dolphins' 38-20 loss to the Jets. Matthews was the intended target on a third-down pass by Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill and briefly had a hand on the ball that was sailing behind him before he was leveled by Jets S Calvin Pryor. Matthews remained on the ground for several minutes before getting up and slowly walking off the field under his own power. He was initially listed as questionable to return by the Dolphins but was downgraded to out early in the third quarter. Head coach Dan Campbell didn't provide an update on Matthews after the game. Matthews has 43 catches for 662 yards and four touchdowns this season.
11/11/15 - WR Rishard Matthews (37 receptions, 554 yards, four touchdowns) has established career bests in receiving yards and touchdowns, and half the season remains. He's five receptions from establishing a career best in that category.
11/09/15 - WR Rishard Matthews had four receptions for 54 yards against Buffalo and now has 37 receptions (second-best on the team) for a team-best 554 yards and a team-best 4 TDs.
10/31/15 - WR Rishard Matthews (seven receptions, 62 yards) might have had his least productive day of the season against New England. He had a drop on a pass thrown above his head, but he should have caught nonetheless, and he seemingly broke off his route causing QB Ryan Tannehill to throw an interception. Still, Matthews (33 receptions, 500 yards, four touchdowns) is having a good year.
