Draft Scout *Alec Ogletree News
12/04/17 - LB Alec Ogletree exited Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals with an elbow injury and did not return.
Ogletree began the game in strong fashion, returning an interception 41 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter. He picked off a Blaine Gabbert pass and ran it back with 2:45 left in the first quarter to help give the Rams a 16-0 lead.
Ogletree flipped into the end zone and landed awkwardly, although it wasn't immediately known if that played a part in his injury.
He said after the game he got hit by a teammate and that his elbow was hyperextended.
"Right now, I'm looking to be ready for next week (against the Philadelphia Eagles)," he said. "... I'll find out (Monday) what it's going to be, but it's going to take a lot of treatment."
12/04/17 - OLB Alec Ogletree suffered a hyperextended elbow in the first half Sunday against the Cardinals.
While the assumption was he hurt himself on the awkward flip he did to celebrate his pick-six touchdown interception, that was not the case. It actually happened a bit later when three teammates converged on him as he held up a Cardinals receiver during a gang tackle.
10/12/17 - LB Alec Ogletree reached agreement with the Los Angeles Rams on a four-year contract extension, the team announced Thursday. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the contract is worth $42 million with $30 million guaranteed. Ogletree, a first-round draft pick in 2013, would have become an unrestricted free agent after this season if he had not agreed to an extension. His new deal runs through the 2021 season.
09/13/16 - LB Alec Ogletree, who moved to middle linebacker from the outside, had 12 tackles - 11 solo - and was one of the only bright spots in an otherwise bleak night. But he believes better days are ahead. "It was more so that we beat ourselves tonight," he said. "Credit them they did what they had to do to win the game. I definitely feel like we beat ourselves tonight. We did not play our style of football. We will bounce back. Nobody is down on each other. It definitely sucks to lose, but it is week one. We have a long season now we have a tough opponent coming in next week. We have to definitely turn our attention there."
09/02/16 - ILB Alec Ogletree has settled in at his new role at middle linebacker and calling the defensive plays.
