 Draft Scout *Alec Ogletree News
05/02/16 - LB Alec Ogletree had his fifth-year option exercised by the Rams for the 2017 season. The Rams will pay Ogletree $8.369 million in 2017. He was a first-round pick in 2013. Ogletree, 24, has been a starter since joining the Rams but missed 12 games last season with a broken leg. He made 42 tackles and two sacks in four games. Over three seasons, Ogletree has 270 tackles, 3.5 sacks and three interceptions in 36 games.
12/31/15 - LB Alec Ogletree was able to run with his teammates Wednesday, but is unlikely to play Sunday against the 49ers. Ogletree has been out since suffering a broken leg on Oct. 4 against Arizona. He was officially returned to practice Thursday while still on reserve/injured, designated for return. Said head coach Jeff Fisher, "It's good to get him back on the grass and we'll see how he feels tomorrow. We'll try to get him involved in more than just some walk-through stuff, some scout-team stuff, too. From a timing standpoint, he's ready to start doing things on the grass. He's been straight-line running for a week or so and we wanted to introduce some change in direction to him. So, no better place to introduce a change in direction than on the field with his teammates."

So, no better place to introduce a change in direction than on the field with his teammates."
12/28/15 - LB Alec Ogletree still has a chance to play in the final game of the season. Currently on reserve/injured, designated for return, Ogletree could get some work in practice this week. Said head coach Jeff Fisher, "We're going to see how he is. We're going to kind of move him around tomorrow and we'll get him on the grass on Wednesday and try to get him involved a little bit."
12/23/15 - LB Alec Ogletree did some running on the side during practice Wednesday, but he remains on reserve/injured, designated for return. The Rams hope Ogletree can play a few snaps in the season finale against San Francisco. Said head coach Jeff Fisher, "He's working inside. He'll be out over the next couple of days. We'll see how he moves and then we'll kind of push him as best we can, but we're not going to put him in a position where if he's not ready, we're not going to play him. But, I want him to have the opportunity to potentially get a few snaps against San Francisco. We'll know early in the week next week." Fisher added, "I'm hoping. We were hopeful when the injury took place at Arizona that he would be back. Realistically, from a medical standpoint, the doctors said, 'probably not', but we want to give him that chance. I want to let him try to ... you set a goal out there for him and so we'll see. We'll know probably in the middle of next whether he can go or not."
