Draft Scout Haason Reddick News
12/24/17 - LB Haason Reddick left the game in the second quarter with a foot injury and did not return.
11/06/17 - LB Haason Reddick and DL Frostee Rucker and 49ers RB Carlos Hyde were ejected with 3:29 left to play for fighting. The fight erupted after Cardinals S Antoine Bethea's late hit on 49ers QB C.J. Beathard.
06/08/17 - LB Haason Reddick, Arizona's first-round draft pick, signed a four-year contract, the team announced Thursday. Spotrac calculated that his contract would have a total value of $13,477,966 and a signing bonus of $7,942,157. The 6-foot-1, 235-point Reddick was a first-team All-American Athletic Conference selection out of Temple, He started 14 games in 2016 and totaled 65 tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, a team-high 10.5 sacks, one interception, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. His 22.5 tackles for loss led all players in the FBS and also set a conference single-season record. Reddick has played so well in offseason workouts that coach Coach Bruce Arians has him playing with the first team with veteran Deone Bucannon sidelined following offseason ankle surgery.
05/15/17 - LB Haasan Reddick, the team's first-round draft choice, on rookies being asked to learn the majority of the Cardinals' offensive and defensive schemes by the end of the club's three-day rookie mini-camp: "When you're being asked to play a sport, it's to be expected. This is your job. You get to weed out who is just out and who is trying seriously to make a living. You definitely want to see who can learn and definitely to see who is taking it seriously and who is not."
03/09/17 - The day after Haason Reddick finished turning heads at the NFL scouting combine, he showed up for more workouts at his school. At 6 a.m. After all, there was a pro day upcoming, at which he could impress even more people. He's already considered one of the rising stars of this class, projected by some as a first-round pick. "That's something that will never go away, that I will never lose: my work ethic," the Temple defensive end and likely pro linebacker says. "It's like my hard work has been recognized. "It's great to see those opinions. It's great to see that people think so highly of me. I believe that my talent matches what they say. "But I just try to remain humble and keep working hard. Nothing has changed. I'm still the guy who is going to work as hard as he can to make sure that he's the best."
Reddick clearly was the best of nearly four dozen college players - 14 from Temple - who worked out for 40 NFL scouts on Wednesday. His movements in the defensive drills were smooth, quick, decisive. His speed and power were evident from his first steps. Those drills, conducted by 2000 NFL Coach of the Year Jim Haslett, have value because the movements replicate what defenders do on the field. Although 40-yard dash times get popularized and stressed - for the record, Reddick ran a speedy 4.52 in Indianapolis - their worth is debatable. Most times a defensive player is dashing 40 yards only when he is chasing someone who has the ball. - AP Sports
