09/11/13 - Scouting the Michigan State special teams: Punter Mike Sadler continues to be one of Michigan State's most effective weapons. Ten of his 18 punts have been downed inside the 20-yard line and he is averaging 41.2 yards per punt. The kicking game struggled against South Florida as Kevin Muma missed his only field goal attempt from 25 yards, making him 2-for-3 on the season. While punt returner Andre Sims Jr. found more open space against South Florida, his fumble late in the first half led to a field goal for the Bulls. - The Sports Xchange
09/04/13 - Scouting the Michigan State special teams: Thanks to an inept offense, the punt team got plenty of work. Mike Sadler kicked 11 times and dropped six of them inside the 20-yard line. Snapper Taybor Pepper struggled, snapping one over Sadler's head as he was the holder on the second extra point. Andre Sims Jr. returned one punt 33 yards, but he was otherwise ineffective and had trouble judging the ball on the other four Western Michigan punts. - The Sports Xchange
