01/06/14 - Baylor's Lache Seastrunk to enter NFL Draft...The most talented players in college football continue to flock to the NFL. The latest player to do so is Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk, who announced on Monday that he was leaving Waco to enter the NFL Draft. "Playing in the NFL has been a lifelong dream of mine, and I'm fully prepared to take the next step toward realizing that goal," said Seastrunk in a statement. "I'm excited for the opportunity to compete in the NFL draft process. I look forward to giving teams every ounce of energy I've got and proving to them that I'm a good person, a relentless competitor, and a great player, too."
Seastrunk had a big year for Baylor in 2013, finishing the season with 1,177 yards and 11 touchdowns even though he missed two games and most of a third with an injury. 11/16/13 - Baylor running back Lache Seastrunk missed the fourth-ranked Bears' game against Texas Tech on Saturday night because of a groin injury. Seastrunk, the Big 12's leading rusher with 111 yards per game, got hurt in the Bears' 41-12 win over Oklahoma on Nov. 7. The Bears were also without receiver Tevin Reese, who is out for at least the rest of the regular season. He had surgery on his dislocated right wrist the day after the Oklahoma game. Shock Linwood, who ran for 182 yards in the Oklahoma game to earn Big 12 player of the week honors, was Baylor's No. 1 running back. - AP Sports
