He ranks second on the team with five sacks and third on the squad with 7.5 tackles for loss. He was named the MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week after registering a career-best three sacks against Western Michigan. - Buffalo football
10/14/13 - WEEK 7 MAC EAST DIVISION DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Buffalo DE Colby Way...Senior defensive end Colby Way (State College, Pa.) had a career-high three sacks to lead a defensive unit to a 33-0 win at Western Michigan. The shutout was the second ever shutout of a MAC opponent and the first road shutout for the program since 1965. Way had four total tackles in the game, but it was his timely sacks that played a huge part in the Bulls' shutout.
In the first quarter, with the Bulls leading 6-0, Way had two of sacks on the same drive that helped move the Broncos from the Buffalo 19-yard line to out of field goal range. In the third quarter, with Buffalo leading 9-0, Way had a sack for a loss of 15 yards that moved the ball from the Buffalo 43 to the Western Michigan 42, forcing another punt. - MAC football

The junior defensive end had a key sack late in the first half that enabled the Bulls to get the ball back and drive down for a field goal in the final seconds of the first half to cut Georgia's lead to 24-16 at the half. - MAC football
