The shutout was the second ever shutout of a MAC opponent and the first road shutout for the program since 1965. Way had four total tackles in the game, but it was his timely sacks that played a huge part in the Bulls' shutout.
In the first quarter, with the Bulls leading 6-0, Way had two of sacks on the same drive that helped move the Broncos from the Buffalo 19-yard line to out of field goal range.
