 Draft Scout David Quessenberry News
07/27/14 - G David Quessenberry, who is battling lymphoma, was declared active/non-football illness by the Texans Satuyrday (July 26).
06/10/14 - OL David Quessenberry, diagnosed with lymphoma, was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list. The team said Quessenberry experienced "fatigue and a persistent cough" and almost immediately began chemotherapy treatments. Players on the NFI list are paid at the team's discretion, but Quessenberry is expected to receive his full salary. The 2013 sixth-round pick landed on injured reserve before Week 2 last season with a foot injury. He was hurt in practice. A walk-on at San Jose State, Quessenberry will be treated at world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center. "We are extremely confident in the care and treatment David will receive," Texans general manager Rick Smith said. "He is a fighter and a courageous young man and we look forward to his full and complete recovery. We will continue to support him and his family and look forward to his return to the team."
09/12/13 - T David Quessenberry (foot) was placed on reserve/injured by the Texans Tuesday.
09/05/13 - OL David Quessenberry, a sixth-round pick who could play guard and tackle, suffered a season-ending foot injury in practice and is lost for the season. The Texans kept 10 offensive linemen, including four tackles. Quessenberry played guard in preseason. Ben Jones and Cody White are reserve guards behind starters Wade Smith and Brandon Brooks.
04/28/13 - A closer look at the Texans' picks: Round 6/176 - David Quessenberry, T, 6-5, 302, San Jose State...A former tight end with quick feet, agility and balance. He has movement skills coaches like in their zone scheme. He needs work on technique, and he's got to get stronger and more consistent to compete for playing time. - The Sports Xchange
