Draft Scout Keith Pough News
08/31/13 - LB Keith Pough was released by the Buffalo Bills on Saturday as the team got down to the league-mandated 53-player roster to start the season.
04/30/13 - Bills agree to terms with 16 Undrafteds...LB Keith Pough - 6’2” 239 - Howard...The 2012 MEAC Defensive Player of the Year, Pough set an FCS record with 71 career tackles for loss. Pough is considered a big time playmaker and had over 100 tackles in both his sophomore and junior seasons. “He was a dominant player in the MEAC conference. He’s 6’2” and 235 and he has long arms and just needs to get a little bit bigger and stronger,” said Roth. “His production was great at Howard. He’s got pass rush ability, a great motor. He ran 4.9 at the Combine, but he plays around 4.75. He plays a lot faster. A SAM backer for us.” - Chris Brown, BuffaloBills.com
04/30/13 - Bills agree to terms with 16 Undrafteds...CB Nickell Robey - 5’11” 1 - USC...Robey posted seven career interceptions for USC in his college career, returning three of them for touchdowns. He also had 24 career pass breakups in three seasons. “Extremely quick, great short agility and balance, tough and competitive,” said Forsyth. “He’ll fly to the ball, good hands and ball skills. Just not the biggest guy. He’s got a chance because of his desire and quickness. He was productive in the PAC-12.” - Chris Brown, BuffaloBills.com
02/20/13 - 2013 NFL Combine, Most to gain: After an impressive career at Howard and a strong week at the East-West Shrine Game, Keith Pough is no longer an under-the-radar prospect. NFL scouts love his physical nature and confidence but do have some concerns about his speed and overall range. Pough doesn't need to run in the 4.4-range in the 40-yard dash, but scouts want to see him do better than the 4.8 times he has run in the past. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
01/18/13 - 2013 SHRINE GAME PRACTICE RISERS: 1. OLB Keith Pough, Howard (6016, 241 -- West Team)...With his performance on the practice field this week and through talking to NFL scouts, putting Pough at No. 1 was the easiest decision on this list. He showed off his natural athleticism and coordination during drills, and while he has room to get stronger, his aggressive and violent playing style was impressive. Pough's physical attributes stand out, but so does his approach to the game. He brings a non-stop motor and competitive attitude to the defense, regardless if it's practice or a game. Although he's still a tad rough around the edges, Pough is a player on the rise and it wouldn't be a shock if he ends up as one of the first players drafted from this year's Shrine Game. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
