 Draft Scout Ifo Ekpre-Olomu News
09/02/15 - CB Ifo Ekpre-Oloms (knee) was placed on reserve/non-football injury by the Browns Tuesday (Sept. 1).
07/23/15 - CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu failed his physical as the Browns' rookie reported to training camp Wednesday (July 22) and was placed on the non-football injury list. He still counts against the 90-man roster. Ekpre-Olomu, a two-time All-American at Oregon, was considered a second- or third-round talent, but he slipped into the last round because of an ACL injury suffered in December during practice before the College Football Playoff title game.
05/19/15 - CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, selected by the Browns in the seventh round of the draft (241st overall), signed a four-year contract May 14. Ekpre-Olomu, a two-time All-American at Oregon, was considered a second- or third-round talent, but he slipped into the final round because of an ACL injury suffered in December during practice before the College Football Playoff title game. The draft fall did not hurt him financially, though, as he has an insurance policy that is expected to pay him $3 million because the injury caused him to fall out of the first three rounds.
05/05/15 - A closer look at the Browns' 12 picks:.Round 7/241 - Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, CB, 5-9, 192, Oregon...Ekpre-Olomu suffered a torn ACL preparing for a college playoff game in January. If not for the injury he might have been a second-round pick. He can play outside or in the slot and projects as a gunner on punt coverage. His name means "something that fits you well." - The Sports Xchange
02/21/15 - Five takeaways from Saturday's DL/LB NFL Combine media session: 4. Oregon CB Ifo Ekpre-Olomu...Ekpre-Olomu cited his instincts and quickness as his best strengths, which fits what the tape says. The bigger question might be, is he ideally suited to stay outside or might he be better inside as a nickel cornerback in the NFL? I'm a versatile player, Ekpre-Olomu said in response to that question. I was able to play nickel throughout my career at Oregon and it is going to help me in the long run because now the league runs through the slot receiver. If you can have a guy that can cover the slot and shut him down, it helps the team. And that's all you're looking forward to, trying to win games for the team. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
