Draft Scout *Shane Ray News
10/11/16 - OLB Shane Ray has four sacks in the last three games, and his four-sack tally for the season gives the Broncos three players with at least four sacks. The Broncos and Vikings are the only teams with three four-sack players on their roster.
05/26/16 - LB Shane Ray looks to be particularly better after an offseason spent improving his diet and refining his study habits. The 244-pounder has just 10 percent body fat after changing his diet to focus on lean meats, fruits and vegetables.
But perhaps his best tool is his demeanor.
"His attitude has been tremendous, and I think that's a real key for him," defensive coordinator Wade Phillips said. "When you come in and you're a first-round pick, and you've got DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller playing out there in front of you, and you're not the starter, I think it's a little tougher mentally.
"But he's come through that with shining colors and I think he's ready to step up his game."
11/16/15 - OLB Shane Ray played 34 snaps in his first game back after missing three weeks -- and two games -- because of a sprained medial collateral ligament. Ray did not have a sack, but broke up a pass.
11/12/15 - OLB Shane Ray practiced Wednesday, marking his first on-field work since he sprained his MCL on Oct. 18. If he continues to progress, Broncos head coach Gary Kubiak said he expects Ray to play Sunday.
11/09/15 - LB Shane Ray could begin practicing in the next week or two as he continues his recovery from the sprained MCL he suffered against the Browns.
