Draft Scout *Marcus Peters News
12/11/17 - CB Marcus Peters did not play Sunday after he received a one-game suspension from Andy Reid for incidents that occurred during and after last week's game against the New York Jets. Reid said he did not deliver his team any challenge with Peters away from the club for a game.
"We've always had the next-man-up thing and that's how we roll," Reid said. "It's no different than that. Marcus will be back, and he will be back and playing doing his thing."
12/11/17 - CB Marcus Peters returned to the team following a one-game suspension handed down by head coach Andy Reid. The club expects Peters to start at left cornerback against the Chargers.
12/06/17 - CB Marcus Peters received a one-game suspension from Chiefs coach Andy Reid following his actions against the Jets on Sunday, the latest in a series of incidents involving the volatile and competitive Peters in his young career. Peters received an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty following a defensive holding call against teammate Steven Nelson during an unsuccessful two-point conversion try by the Jets. Peters picked up the official's flag and threw it into the stands, then walked off the field to the locker room. Reid said Peters believed officials disqualified him from the game. He later returned to the sideline but did not re-enter the game.
12/04/17 - CB Marcus Peters protested a penalty call against fellow CB Steven Nelson on a pivotal two-point conversion against the New York Jets, picking up the flag and chucking it into the stands.
Then he walked off the field to the locker room. Head coach Andy Reid said he's mulling what if any punishment he might hand down aside from any justice delivered by the league office.
10/31/17 - CB Marcus Peters forced two first-quarter turnovers in helping the Chiefs build a 17-3 halftime lead.
Early in the first quarter, Peters pried the ball loose from Jamaal Charles, scooping up the fumble and running 45 yards for a touchdown.
After Alex Smith hooked up with Travis Kelce for a 29-yard score to put Kansas City up 14-0, Peters struck again. The defensive back intercepted a pass from Siemian.
