11/25/14 - WR Ryan Spadola was released by the Falcons from their practice squad Tuesday (Nov. 25). Spadola, 6-1, 205 pounds, was originally signed by the New York Jets as a college free agent out of Lehigh following the 2013 NFL Draft.
10/09/14 - WR Ryan Spadola was signed to the practice squad by the Falcons Thursday (Oct. 9). Spadola, 6-1, 205 pounds, was originally signed by the New York Jets as a college free agent out of Lehigh following the 2013 NFL Draft. He has appeared in four games, including three with the Jets and one with the Miami Dolphins.
10/29/13 - WR Ryan Spadola, who was with the New York Jets, has a good chance of being signed off the practice squad to the 53-man roster. The Dolphins only have three WRs on the 53-man roster right now.
10/10/13 - WR Ryan Spadola signed with the Dolphins on Tuesday, three days after the Jets released him. Spadola Tweeted that he was heading to the Dolphins' practice squad. Spadola, an undrafted free agent out of Lehigh, starred for the Jets in training camp and led the team with 13 catches for 216 yards during the preseason. But he had no catches in the three regular-season games in which he was active for the Jets.
10/08/13 - WR Ryan Spadola was released by the Jets on Saturday. Spadola was the star of training camp, when he evoked comparisons to Wayne Chrebet by making the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of an FCS school. But unlike Chrebet, who led the Jets with 726 yards receiving as a rookie, Spadola never got a chance to contribute despite the Jets' depleted receiver corps and didn't have a catch at the time of his release. The Jets are reportedly interested in re-signing Spadola if he clears waivers, but ESPNNewYork.com reported Tuesday that multiple teams were interested in signing Spadola.
