Draft Scout Snapshot: A closer look at the Lions' picks: Round 5/148 - Chris Greenwood, CB, 6-1, 193, Albion...His measurables were off the charts. He is the first player from the Michigan Independent Athletic Association to be drafted since 1967. COULD SURPRISE: Cornerback Chris Greenwood: Greenwood is a physical marvel; a potential diamond in the rough. He's 6-2 and runs a sub-4.40. He also displayed a 43-inch vertical jump during his visit to the Lions. - The Sports Xchange

 Draft Scout Chris Greenwood News
11/05/12 - CB Chris Greenwood will know his fate by 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Lions have until then to either activate him or keep him on PUP. Indications are that he will be kept on PUP. "We'll sort of try to make the best decision for the team and the best decision for him," coach Jim Schwartz said. "I think missing training camp was probably the biggest thing for him. He's done a good job of preparing and staying involved in the meetings and things like that, but training camp is probably the thing that when it's all said and done will be the opportunity that he missed the most." Greenwood is the team's fifth-round pick out of Albion.
10/31/12 - CB Chris Greenwood began his third week of practice after starting the season on PUP after abdominal surgery. His fate will be decided no later than Tuesday.
10/29/12 - CB Chris Greenwood, a rookie, will practice for the third week since serving his six weeks on PUP. The Lions, by Nov. 6, will either activate him or keep him on PUP. He missed all of camp after abdominal surgery and since he came from a Division II Albion (MI) College, he has a lot of catching up to do. It seems unlikely he will be activated.
10/17/12 - CB Chris Greenwood, a fifth-round pick, is eligible to come off the physically unable to perform list and he was at practice Wednesday. But he had abdomen surgery and hasn't practiced since the beginning of OTAs. It's doubtful he will be activated this week.
10/15/12 - CB Chris Greenwood (abdomen and groin) is expected to return to practice this week, though he may still not be reinstated off the PUP list. The Lions have 21 days to work him out and determine whether he's ready to play. "You see how he is in practice before you do (activate him)," coach Jim Schwartz said. "You have a certain window before you have to activate him to the 53-man roster. We'll just see what he looks like and how he's doing. I would expect him to be on the practice field."
