Draft Scout *Kevin Dodd News
03/01/17 - OLB Kevin Dodd, whose rookie season was ruined by a foot injury sustained in May, is trying to work his way back. He landed on injured reserve in the middle of last season due to his inability to work through the pain following surgery to have a screw inserted into his fifth metatarsal bone. "He had an outstanding rookie camp when he came in," Titans GM Jon Robinson said. "He's long, he's got a good first step, he's a powerful guy, and then he had the foot thing and it just never really got back to normal. He's working hard to get back out there. He's another young, talented outside linebacker for us who can play in the run game and rush the passer. So we're looking forward to having him back."
12/07/16 - LB Kevin Dodd was placed on injured reserve due to a foot injury.
11/28/16 - LB Kevin Dodd was a healthy scratch for the second straight week as the Titans' coaches are not happy with his practice habits.
"His sense of urgency in practice needs to pick up. He knows that's what we're expecting. We need to see him both when we're doing our defensive side of the ball and when we show the scout team. I need more from him, and he knows that," Mularkey said.
10/28/16 - LB Kevin Dodd was given the night off Thursday to rest his surgically-repaired right foot. He should be able to return next week.
09/19/16 - LB Kevin Dodd got his first NFL sack on Sunday, filling in for an injured Derrick Morgan.
Dodd, a second-round pick who missed all the off-season work and training camp due to foot surgery, rotated with veteran David Bass in replacing Morgan.
He had two hands to the face penalties, and was offside on a kickoff, but hung in despite the mistakes.
"The personnel was different. They were bigger, faster, stronger, but I felt like I belonged," Dodd said. "I"m here to contribute and that's what they drafted me for. I played my role Sunday, so I'm glad it worked out."
