Draft Scout *D.J. Humphries News
11/10/17 - LT D.J. Humphries exited in the first quarter Thursday because of what looked to be a serious right knee injury. Arizona coach Bruce Arians said Humphries likely is headed for season-ending injured reserve, adding he felt particularly bad for the third-year pro who was making huge strides this season. "It's just a shame," he said. "Guy was playing fantastic."
11/10/17 - LT D.J. Humphries suffered an MCL injury and a dislocated kneecap in Thursday's game against the Seattle Seahawks and will miss the rest of the season, Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians said Friday. Arians said after Humphries undergoes surgery, he expects him to be ready for organized team activities in the spring.
11/10/17 - LT D.J. Humphries had been turning into a cornerstone of not only the offensive line, but the entire franchise with his vastly improved play in the past month since returning from a strained MCL. Now, he's lost for the season with another MCL injury and a dislocated kneecap.
"He has turned into a true pro - the film study, the extra work out on the practice field," head coach Bruce Arians said. "He used to be a jokester. Now, he's serious as heck. He's about his craft. It's just a shame for these young guys to put so much in after an injury and get injured again."
11/08/17 - LT D.J. Humphries played all 77 snaps on Sunday in Arizona's 20-10 victory over the 49ers, plus another five snaps on special teams.
He'll have no time to rest, however, as the Cardinals make the quick turnaround and meet the Seahawks at home on Thursday night. "I'm sore. I'm sore as hell," he said. "I'm going to be fine, though. I'm 23. You should ask the older guys how they feel. Pretty sure that's the real tell. I'll be fine in a couple days."
10/30/17 - LT D.J. Humphries said keeping hope alive won't be an issue inside the Cardinals' locker room, no matter how bleak things may look at the moment.
"That won't be a problem at all," he said. "We've got a group of guys that want to come to work every day, that want to be the best, so I don't think keeping hope alive and keeping guys interested is going to be a problem."
