Draft Scout Chris Wormley News
10/02/17 - DE Chris Wormley was a healthy scratch for Week 4 against the Steelers even with DT Brandon Williams out with a foot injury. Wormley was a third-round pick from Michigan in this year's draft.
However, after an uneven training camp, he has struggled to get on the field.
03/27/17 - Michigan Pro day: A prospect with one of the highest floors in the draft, defensive lineman Chris Wormley didn't work out at the combine due to a left hamstring injury, putting a lot of pressure on his pro day performance. And he didn't disappoint, with his 40-yard dash in the low 4.8s, adding a 31.5-inch vertical, 9-foot-2 broad jump and 7.08-second three-cone drill. At 6-foot-5 and 297 pounds, Wormley looks like an interior lineman, but he projects best as a base end who can kick inside on passing downs. Although he might not give you consistent pass rush value, he is a stout run defender who won't hurt your team on the field. Wormley projects as a solid second-round pick. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
01/25/17 - 2017 SENIOR BOWL, TUESDAY: Sticking with the Wolverines, defensive lineman Chris Wormley is no stranger to the weight room. He showed off his developed physique during weigh-ins with his thick, muscular build in his upper and lower halves. Wide receiver Amara Darboh didn't appear to have an ounce of fat on him with his lean, but shredded muscle tone, including a defined six pack. At 6-1 3/4 and 215 pounds with 32 5/8-inch arms, his measurements and body type are what scouts are looking for at the position. Linebacker Ben Gedeon also impressed at 6-1 5/8 and 243 pounds of muscle. His frame sported minimal bad weight with well-developed muscle tone throughout. Bottom line, the Michigan strength and conditioning program prepared these players extremely well. - Rob Rang & Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
