Draft Scout Montravius Adams News
09/14/17 - Rookie DT Montravius Adams, who suffered a broken foot early in training camp, is getting closer to a return. Adams was a limited participant in practice the last two days.
09/06/17 - DT Montravius Adams, a promising third-round draft choice from Clemson, suffered a stress fracture in his foot in late July and missed the rest of training camp.
Adams returned to practice on a limited basis Monday, but seems unlikely to play for at least a few weeks. The Packers could still put Adams on the injured reserve/designated to return list, which would shut him down for the first eight weeks of the year. For now, though, Adams remains on the Packers' 53-man roster, meaning they're optimistic he won't need the full eight weeks to recover.
08/01/17 - Rookie DT Montravius Adams will miss "multiple weeks" with a foot injury, according to head coach Mike McCarthy. Adams, a third round draft pick in April, worked in two non-padded practices last, then dropped out of camp. Adams is not eligible for the PUP list because he practiced two days.
"I don't think it's time for concern," McCarthy said. "It's the unfortunate part of our game. When it happens to young guys, these practices are so critical for their development, especially in Year 1, not only learning what to do and how to do it, but just how we practice - everything that goes into it. It's just unfortunate."
07/31/17 - DL Montravius Adams will be out "multiple weeks" of training camp with a foot injury, head coach Mike McCarthy said. NFL Media's Ian Rapoport reported the injury is a stress fracture in his foot and that Adams may need to have a screw inserted to help the healing process. The 6-foot-4, 305-pound third-round pick from Auburn dropped out of camp after the second day of practice and has not worked in pads.
