Draft Scout *Eli Apple News
11/07/16 - CB Eli Apple, who was benched by the coaching staff after struggling through what was his worst performance of his young NFL career, will get another chance to bounce back, per head coach Ben McAdoo. "We're going to dust Eli off and we're going to put him back out there, and he's going to get better and learn for it.
11/03/16 - CB Eli Apple denied a claim made by his mother, Annie, a media correspondent for Sports Illustrated, in which she alleged the Giants' organization tried to use him to silence her voice after being critical of the team for its handling of the Josh Brown domestic violence incident. "She was a little bit upset and I didn't have a chance to really talk to her, and I guess throughout that whole thing (the week of the London game) that's just how she felt, but I never had a chance to talk to her or anything, so maybe that's just an assumption of hers that she just felt in her gut," Eli Apple said. "But it's definitely false. Nobody's leaning on me or anything telling me things to tell her. It's not like that at all. I think the Giants are a class organization and I'm just happy to be here."
10/19/16 - CB Eli Apple (groin) was limited in Wednesday's practice. Apple has made significant progress in his rehab and has a decent chance of being ready for Sunday's game, barring any setbacks.
10/12/16 - CB Eli Apple (groin/hamstring) did not practice Wednesday. Apple is a longshot to play Sunday.
10/10/16 - CB Eli Apple, who returned to action after missing time with a hamstring ailment, suffered a groin injury in the first half of the game. Head coach Ben McAdoo said that it was too early to determine Apple's availability for Sunday's home game against the Ravens, but did note that the rookie would be getting at least one more treatment and that he will not be able to practice fully on Wednesday if he practices at all.
