10/05/17 - K Younghoe Koo was released on Thursday by the Los Angeles Chargers. Koo, an undrafted free agent from Georgia Southern, missed half his six field goal attempts for the winless Chargers (0-4), including a pair with the game on the line in the first two weeks. The 23-year-old from South Korea had a potential tying field goal blocked in a season-opening 24-21 loss at Denver and missed a last-second 44-yarder in a 19-17 loss to Miami in Week 2.
09/25/17 - K Younghoe Koo, who hasn't come through late in both of the Chargers' losses, was good from 29 yards to pull L.A. within 17-10 just before halftime.
09/18/17 - Younghoe Koo's 44-yard field-goal attempt with nine seconds remaining was off the mark. It was the second straight game that the rookie Koo had a chance to win or tie in the closing seconds. One was blocked and this one was wide right. He also misfired from 43 yards earlier in the game.
"He didn't kick well," Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn said. "We'll see how he responds."
A downcast Koo said his erratic effort failed for a simple reason.
"I just pushed it right," he said. "It's definitely frustrating."
