05/13/17 - OT Cam Robinson is another player who will be under the watchful eye of coaches. The 6-foot-6, 326-pound former Alabama tackle appears to have all the skills needed to be an elite NFL lineman. The biggest question with Robinson concerns where the Jaguars will play him. He started 44 games at left tackle for the Crimson Tide before electing to forego his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. Robinson said he couldn't remember if the Jaguars talked to him during the pre-draft process about the possibility of moving to guard.
03/09/17 - Alabama Pro day: Cam Robinson...On his NFL combine experience: "It was long. The only part that gets televised is when you go out there and do the field drills on the last day, but it's a lot more to it than that. It's a lot of off-the-field stuff, and I think if you don't go into it with the right mindset, then it can be kind of strenuous on you." On what he brings to a team: "First and foremost, I just try to bring the right attitude. I bring leadership and hard work. Ultimately, those are the three main things that I bring to a team." - Alabama Football
03/03/17 - 2017 NFL Combine, Day 2 Takeaways: 9. Alabamaís Robinson skips bench press due to shoulder issues... Alabamaís Jonathan Allen isnít the only former Crimson Tide lineman dealing with a shoulder issue. Offensive tackle and first-round hopeful Cam Robinson did not participate in the bench press Thursday at the combine due to a shoulder issue. And Iím told he might not lift before the draft because of the issue. Alabamaís pro day is March 8, which would be a quick turnaround for Robinson to be ready. Since he arrived in Tuscaloosa, Robinson didnít miss a single game, finishing his career with 44 consecutive starts. However, he missed most of 2016 spring practice after shoulder surgery. - Rob Rang & Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
03/01/17 - 2017 NFL Combine, Wednesday takeaways: 7. Speaking of Cam Robinson ÖOffensive linemen will face the media spotlight on Thursday, including Robinson, who enters the NFL with some off-field character questions. Last May, he was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen gun and marijuana; however, the district attorney decided not to pursue prosecution, so Robinson didnít miss any playing time as a junior. His explanation to the incident and his overall character will be interesting. - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
01/15/17 - Robinson heads Alabama trip in declaring for draft...Alabama left tackle Cam Robinson is among three Crimson Tide standouts who declared for the NFL draft on Friday. Robinson was joined by cornerback Marlon Humphrey and receiver ArDarius Stewart. The three announced their decisions at a campus press conference. The 6-foot-6, 327-pound Robinson is rated the top offensive tackle for the 2016 draft and the 14th overall prospect by NFLDraftScout.com. He has been a dominating anchor on the Crimson Tide offensive line in his three college seasons and won the Outland Trophy this season as the nation's top interior lineman. Humphrey, a third-year sophomore, is bypassing his final two seasons of eligibility.
The son of former Alabama star and NFL running back Bobby Humphrey is rated the second-best cornerback and 20th overall prospect by NFLDraftScout.com. Stewart is viewed as a mid-round pick in this year's draft. He had a team-best 864 receiving yards as a junior. "These three players have made significant contributions, not only in how they played but how they affected their teammates," coach Nick Saban said at the press conference. "We have a great appreciation for this, and we appreciate them more than you know. They are part of the fabric of this organization." Robinson's stock has remained high despite being charged last May for illegal possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He didn't face prosecution because the district attorney handling the case dropped the charges, citing Robinson's football potential. - The Sports Xchange
