 Draft Scout News
01/04/17 - Standout middle linebacker Raekwon McMillan has become the third member of Ohio State's defense to declare for the NFL draft. He follows All-American safety Malik Hooker and cornerback Gareon Conley, who announced this week they would skip their senior seasons for the NFL. McMillan's decision, announced Wednesday via Twitter, wasn't unexpected. A unanimous All-Big Ten player the past two seasons, McMillan had 15 tackles and a sack of Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson in Ohio State's 31-0 loss to the Tigers last Saturday. Other Buckeyes who haven't made an announcement but could leave early for the draft include defensive end Tyquan Lewis, cornerback Marshon Lattimore and H-back Curtis Samuel. Quarterback J.T. Barrett seemed to indicate in his postgame comments Saturday that he would stay for his senior season. - AP Sports
12/15/16 - 2016 ALL-BIG TEN FOOTBALL FIRST TEAM (COACHES): LB Raekwon McMillan, Ohio State...Standout linebacker Raekwon McMillan, the team's leading tackler this season with 87 who is coming off one of his finest games: a career-high tying 16-tackle performance in the win over Michigan. - Ohio State Football
10/24/16 - Ohio State tumbles to No. 6 in AP Top 25 poll...Ohio State's first loss of the season dropped the Buckeyes to No. 6 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released Sunday. Ohio State fell four spots after blowing a 14-point, fourth-quarter lead against Penn State in Saturday's stunning 24-21 defeat. The decisive play was a blocked field goal that the Nittany Lions' Grant Haley returned 60 yards for a touchdown. While the loss delivered a hit to the Buckeyes, it was a memorable victory for Penn State. The Nittany Lions entered the poll at No. 24, the first time they have been ranked since Dec. 4, 2011. It also marks the first time Penn State has been ranked without Joe Paterno as coach since 1954. Alabama remains the top-ranked team in the nation and received 60 of the 61 first-place votes. Michigan is second and received the other first-place vote. Clemson moved up to No. 3 with Washington ranked fourth and Louisville fifth. - The Sports Xchange
05/22/16 - 2016 Lott IMPACT Trophy Watch List: Raekwon McMillan, LB, Ohio State (6-2, 240, Hinesville, GA): Led Buckeyes with 119 tackles; had 16 in one game, 14 in two others; 3rd in conference in total tackles; All-Big Ten; Butkus finalist; Team captain in 16. - Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation/Lott IMPACT Trophy
12/06/15 - 2015 ALL-BIG TEN SECOND TEAM (COACHES)/FIRST TEAM (MEDIA): LB Raekwon McMillan, Ohio State...Sophomore linebacker Raekwon McMillan, the team leader with 114 tackles and a total that is good for third-most in the Big Ten (media). - Ohio State Football
