He finished second in the league in passing yards per game at 330.0 with 34 touchdowns to 15 interceptions. Hansen has tossed three or more TDs in six of 11 contests this year. His 34 touchdowns are a new Sun Belt Conference record while his 3,630 yards passing rank just outside of the top five in the Sun Belt in a season. 11/27/17 - NOV 27 SUN BELT OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Justice Hansen, Arkansas State (Jr., QB)...Junior quarterback Justice Hansen broke the Arkansas State record for passing yards (520), while also setting the school record for total offense (550) and accounting for a career-high six touchdowns (4 passing, 2 rushing) in the Red Wolves' 67-50 road victory over ULM. Hansen's passing yards and total offense output both ranked as the fifth highest in the nation this season, helping Arkansas State pile up 781 yards total offense that broke the school and Sun Belt records as well. He completed 26-of-38 passing attempts with three of his four touchdowns going to different players. Hansen's two rushing touchdowns covered eight and 38 yards and came on back-to-back possessions to start the third quarter. 11/25/17 - Justice Hansen threw for a school-record 520 yards and four touchdowns, rushed for two more scores, and Arkansas State kept its hopes alive for another Sun Belt Conference title with a 67-50 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night. The Red Wolves (7-3, 6-1), who shared the conference title last year and won it outright in 2015, will be hosts to Troy next week in a regular-season finale. Troy and Appalachian State are also 6-1 in the conference.
Arkansas State had a conference-record 781 yards of offense to 590 for the Warhawks (4-7, 4-4) as the teams combined for 1,371 in a game in which six touchdown drives lasted 91 seconds or less. Hansen was 26-of-38 passing with his four TD passes tying him for the Sun Belt single-season record of 32. Justin McInnis had a career-high 211 yards receiving on nine catches, Chris Murray 99 yards and two TDs on five catches and Warren Wand rushed for 173 yards on 21 carries with a score. Kyle Martin had two of Arkansas State's three interceptions. ULM's Caleb Evans was 21 of 37 for 454 yards passing and four touchdowns but was intercepted three times. He averaged 9.3 yards per rushing attempt and accounted for his first running score of the season, while also completing 23-of-37 passes with no interceptions and a pair of touchdowns.
