08/15/10 - LB David Hawthorne, the target of much praise from LB coach Ken Norton, could push Leroy Hill for playing time. The third-year undrafted free agent was already getting plenty of time this summer and is ahead of the injured Hill on the depth chart.
08/01/10 - LB David Hawthorne, one of the few bright spots for Seattle last season, reportedly fired his agent and was the last player to sign with the team just before camp, signing his exclusive rights tender worth $460,000.
01/14/10 - LB David Hawthorne filled in admirably for Lofa Tatupu, who finished the season on the injured reserve with a torn pectoral muscle. Hawthorne led the team with 117 tackles. He also finished with four sacks, three interceptions and two forced fumbles.
01/03/10 - LB David Hawthorne replaced Pro Bowl linebacker Lofa Tatupu, who went on season-ending injured reserve after having surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, and ably filled that role. Hawthorne finished with a team-leading 117 tackles. Hawthorne, who started 11 games, also finished tied for first in interceptions (three) and third on the team in sacks (four).
