Draft Scout Greg Jennings News
04/24/15 - WR Greg Jennings was signed by the Dolphins Thursday (April 23).
"Greg brings a track record of success and is a proven player who can help strengthen the offense," general manager Dennis Hickey said.
Jennings, who was released in March by the Minnesota Vikings, was in Miami to take a physical on Wednesday.
Jennings, 31, had signed a five-year, $45 million contract with the Vikings in 2013. In two seasons with Minnesota, he caught 127 passes for 1,546 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Jennings played his first seven seasons in Green Bay and was selected to the Pro Bowl in 2010 and 2011.
In Miami, he will be reunited with coach Joe Philbin, who was the Packers' offensive line coach from 2003 to 2006 and offensive coordinator from 2007 to 2011.
03/14/15 - WR Greg Jennings had his contract terminated by the Vikings Saturday (March 13) with the designation failed physical.
The 31-year-old Jennings was signed by the Vikings to a five-year, $45-million contract two seasons ago, but none of his $8.9 million base salary was guaranteed next season.
In two seasons with Minnesota, he caught 127 passes for 1,546 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The move came a day after the Vikings acquired wide receiver Mike Wallace from the Miami Dolphins.\
12/22/14 - WR Greg Jennings was one of four players with a team-high three catches. He had 56 yards, including third-down catches of 24 yards and 21 yards -- the latter for a touchdown.
12/21/14 - WR Greg Jennings had three catches for 56 yards and one touchdown. His touchdown grab -- a 21-yarder -- was outstanding, reaching to grab a high and hard pass. But Jennings is an old pro -- he has more than 50 catches in seven of his past eight seasons. Jennings, 31, is past his prime years of 2008-10, when he had three consecutive years of more than 1,100 yards. But he is still competitive.
12/18/14 - WR Greg Jennings has 546 career receptions, which ties him for 93rd in NFL history with John L. Williams and Ike Hilliard. Jennings was limited again in Thursday's practice because of a hamstring injury. He's expected to play.
