10/03/16 - S Eric Weddle passed an evaluation for a concussion in the fourth quarter Sunday against the Oakland Raiders and was able to get back in the game. Weddle was injured after he failed to break up a 13-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr to Michael Crabtree that gave the Raiders a 21-12 lead with 11:11 remaining. Weddle managed one tackle.

03/14/16 - S Eric Weddle on Monday agreed to a four-year, $29 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
The deal will pay him $9 million in 2016 with $13 million virtually guaranteed. Weddle had started every game except three in the past eight seasons and had been an All-Pro first or second team member from 2010 through 2014.
"I couldn't be more excited and pumped to be a part of a championship organization who wanted me from Day One," Weddle told the San Diego Union Tribune via text.

But the Chargers placed him on Injured Reserve because of a groin injury, apparently because he skipped being with his team at halftime of the Dec. 20 game against the Miami Dolphins to watch his daughter perform in a junior cheerleading event.
