08/18/14 - T Sam Baker (knee) was placed on reserve/injured by the Falcons Monday (Aug. 18). Baker, 6-5, 301 pounds, was selected by the Falcons in the first round (21st overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft. He has played in 70 career games with 61 starts in six seasons with the Falcons.
07/30/14 - LT Sam Baker is off to a strong start after recovering from right knee surgery over the offseason. Some of the other players coming back from injuries -- wide receiver Julio Jones and defensive end Kroy Biermann -- are on limited practice schedules. "I'm feeling good," Baker said.

He had returned to play the week before at Carolina after missing four games in a row. Baker started all 16 regular-season games for just the second time in his career in 2012. "Sam has been dealing with the knee all season long," Smith said. "He's fighting through it."
