Draft Scout Mark Anderson News
07/23/13 - DE Mark Anderson was released by the Buffalo Bills on Tuesday, one season into the four-year deal he signed as a free agent last March.
Anderson signed a contract worth $20 million to be the bookend pass rusher opposite $100 million free agent Mario Williams, the Bills' headline acquisition in 2012.
Anderson, 30, missed 11 games due to injury and had only one sack and 10 total tackles compared to the 10.5 sacks Williams recorded.
12/28/12 - DE Mark Anderson, a key free-agent signing last offseason, will likely end the year having not played in the team's final 11 games due to two early-season knee injuries. He dressed but did not play in Week 15 against Seattle, hitting the wall in his rehab that prevented him from getting game ready.
12/19/12 - DE Mark Anderson, who has missed nine games after multiple left knee surgies, remains day to day heading into Sunday's game at Miami. The Bills would welcome his presence in their front rotation, but have been saying that for two months.
12/17/12 - DE Mark Anderson (knee) returned to practice and dressed for the game against Seattle, but did not play.
12/13/12 - DE Mark Anderson is back practicing after missing eight games because of a knee issue that required two surgeries. He'll likely be a game-time decision. His conditioning is one issue. If ready, he'd help the club's pass rush rotation and depth.
