02/28/16 - LB DeMeco Ryans had his contract terminated by the Eagles Wednesday (Feb. 24). Ryans, who was acquired in a trade with Houston in 2012, spent four seasons with the Eagles and was their defensive leader. But he is 31 and has suffered two Achilles injuries in the last five years. The Eagles saved $3 million in cap space by releasing Ryans. Jordan Hicks, the team's 2015 third-round pick out of the University of Texas, is the leading candidate to be the middle linebacker in new defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz's scheme.

11/25/15 - LB DeMeco Ryans was a full practice participant Tuesday. He was listed on the injury report with a hamstring, which has been bothering him for several weeks. But it has kept him out of just one game.
