01/08/13 - WR Devin Aromashodu was targeted three times but didn't catch a pass. He continues to be a puzzling player. He has the size and deceptive speed to surprise defenses down the field. But he just doesn't produce. He either can't separate or he can't finish the play when the ball arrives. That caused his playing time to plummet. He's still a decent downfield blocker, but the Vikings were hoping to get more out of him than 11 catches for 182 yards and no touchdowns.
12/05/12 - WR Devin Aromashodu is a big receiver with decent speed. He's shown glimpses of big-play potential, but simply can't find a way to separate from defenders consistently enough to become more than a bit part in an offense that's starving for receivers. Aromashodu has gone two games without a reception and has just one catch for 31 yards in the past five games he's played.
11/20/12 - WR Devin Aromashodu is averaging 16.5 yards per catch. But the problem is he can't get open consistently enough to garner more playing time. He shows promise on occasion, but has only 11 catches.
09/24/12 - WR Devin Aromashodu had two catches for 24 yards on Sunday. He continues to be an intriguing young player with potential upside. He also could have had a 2-yard touchdown reception. He was wide open just to the left of a tightly-covered Kyle Rudolph when Christian Ponder threw the ball to Rudolph instead. It was against an all-out blitz. Ponder didn't have time to look for Aromashodu. He threw to his hot receiver, Rudolph. The ball was low and to the side, where only Rudolph could reach down and snag it.
09/12/12 - WR Devin Aromashodu was the first reserve to step up and show that he can be the guy to pick up the slack for Jerome Simpson, the starter whose suspension lasts two more games. Aromashodu, whose talent has yet to show through consistently in four seasons, caught three passes for 61 yards last week. One of them was a 26-yarder to set up the game-tying 55-yard field goal as time expired. The other two also set up field goals, including the game-winner in overtime.
