 Draft Scout Tom Brady News
09/22/14 - QB Tom Brady finished completing 24 of 37 passes for 234 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions for a 91.5 rating. He was sacked twice and hit six times by the Raiders as the pass protection continues to be a major factor in the aerial struggles.
09/21/14 - QB Tom Brady recorded the 150th regular-season victory in Sunday's 16-9 win over the Oakland Raiders. That is third on the NFL's all-time list. But has yet to throw for 250 yards in a game this season, as his team continues to look for its offense. "We have to find a way to score more points. If we don't, we're going to get beat," he said after the Pats won their second straight to go to 2-1. "We've got to play a lot better ... we're capable of it."
09/14/14 - QB Tom Brady was 15-for-22 passing for only 149 yards and a score Sunday, but the Patriots won big anyway. For Brady, the victory was the 149th of his career, second to only Peyton Manning among active quarterbacks. "I don't think about those things too much, but I'm glad we won and you know, hopefully we can do better next week," he said.
09/11/14 - QB Tom Brady was not listed on the injury report and was a full participant in the first practice of the week. He missed practice last Thursday with a calf injury and was questionable last Sunday's game, a contest in which he struggled with his accuracy in the second half.
09/08/14 - QB Tom Brady played the entire game in Miami despite being listed as questionable on the injury report after missing Thursday's practice with a calf injury. While there was no official announcement, based on observations of his lower legs during the Dolphins game, it appears the calf in question is Brady's left. Brady didn't appear to be affected by the injury in the early going. He completed his first pass of the day on a three-and-out possession. Then he followed that up with a second possession in which he led the team 80 yards to a touchdown by completing all six of his passes on the drive for 46 yards. He finished the first half completing 19 of his 29 throws for 187 yards and one touchdown for a 95.5 passer rating. But the bottom fell out of his production in the second half, when he completed just 10 of 27 throws for 62 yards while being sacked four times, including a pair of strip sacks on the way to a 69.7 rating on the day. "It's good, thanks for asking," Brady said of the calf after the game.
